Project 4: Prospective

For this project I used forced perspective to display someone doing a trick on a skateboard without actually being on the board. I had my brother stand further away from the camera and got closer to the skateboard. I learned how to use angles and the camera to portray the trick. If I could change the photo I would have my brother move his left foot to not be seen under the board.

Project four: abstract

I researched the artist Andy Warhol and the type of art he did and what mediums he used. I was inspired by his print work such as the Campbell Soup cans. I used the Tory Burch symbol to do a piece that is similar to the soup cans. I learned about planning ahead when cutting the piece because it transfers as a mirror image. I likes cutting the pieces overall and being able to get the same print multiple times. I then cut out the ink prints and put them on a complementary background.

Project 5. Sculpture

For this project I made a slab box that has the theme of cheetah. I learned the steps and vital things needed to make a slab box. If I could change something it would be how I made the lid, I think it could have been made better. I learned about colors looking well together by adding pink to my box to make it pop. Overall I really enjoyed this project out of all the projects we have done.

Warm up

Today we used paper and tape to make free standing art. The objective was to make it the tallest but ours turned to a sculpture when ours became top heavy and was no longer able to stand. Our sculpture became a giraffe named Jeffery's.

Color. Project 2

For project 2: color. I used water color
To portray the theme "finished". Since I am graduating this year I see finished as graduation and finishing high school. H most successful thing about the project was executing the complementary colors. I definitely learned how to mix colors and make different values of colors with water colors. If I could change anything about this project I would try to make the colors more vibrant.

Project One

Project one: part one
Realism
I used pencil to create a realistic nail polish bottle on a table. I love using polish and based my hand drawing off of nail polish so I kept a theme. The most successful thing about my project was the shading I used and using shadows to portray the bottle. I definitely learned about lighting while working on my drawing. If I could change something about this project I would add more details to the bottle.

Project One

Project One- part 1
Realism
I used pencil to create a realistic hand holding a nail polish bottle. I love painting my nails so it inspired me to do this drawing. The most successful thing about my project was using shading accurately to portray the hand. I definitely learned how to use proportion and shadows while working on the project. If I could change something about this project I would change how I placed the  bottle in the hand.
